Behold "Le Dog Hausss," the Le Corbusier-inspired abode for Fido and one of the highlights of Barkitecture Houston 2012, an annual charity event that raises money for a dog orphanage by selling haute doghouses created by the city's architects, designers, and builders. Designed to emulate Le Corbusier's Villa Savoye (which Lego recently immortalized, too) Le Dog Hausss may not be as lavish as the most extravagant canine castles on the planet or as historically significant as the doghouse Frank Lloyd Wright designed for a young fan's pooch, but RdLR Architects' home is certainly tastefully done. Plus, as CultureMap points out, the modern lines mean an abundance of flat-roofed space—just perfect for the canine who "likes to sleep Snoopy-style."
Here's another Barkitecture Houston entry: a classy dwelling by PhiloWilke that uses natural airflow to keep its resident cool in the sweltering Texas heat.
