Cool Paper Thing: Creased Paper Makes For Arresting 2D Interiors Photos Nov 8th 2012, 21:15 Photos via Simon Schubert These eerie renderings of homes are part of a striking series by German paper artist Simon Schubert. Schubert, who sculpts lines and contours by folding pieces of paper, is able to bring light to rooms that are one-dimensional and shadowless, creating "a state of irreal, time-suspended neutrality," or so it says on Schubert's website. The result? Houses with a sort of ghostly, X-ray aesthetic, one that's simultaneously futuristic and antiquarian yet in a completely different way than other portraits of vintage interiors imbued with modern touches. Plus, of course, the art's blinding whiteness creates an effect even the most obsessive minimalist would envy. Find few more images below.
