On the Market: Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis Aims for Teeny Profit on L.A. Abode
Nov 12th 2012, 15:15

In April, Jeff Lewis, the saucy designer of the Bravo reality show Flipping Out, snatched up a home in Los Angeles and, as he is wont to do, decked it out in a neutral coat of paint, stainless steel appliances, and a near-silly amount flowers before putting it back on the market asking enough to make it worth his while. Well, the major profits are all theoretical, and actually, this time around, the margin seems pretty scant. Lewis bought the 1940s abode for $1.35M and, six months later, is asking $1.45M. Seems like a pretty tame flip for somebody whose personal brand is all about making big bucks in real estate. Anyway, other than the reality TV connection, the 2,368-square-foot "all systems upgraded" home is, well, nothing extraordinary, with three bedrooms, a media room/office space, and a "walk in diva closet." The property is coated in a shade of gray that probably has some sort of fancy name like "graphite shavings at high noon" and white trim, a paint combo that is, apparently, the general M.O. of L.A. house flippers. See it all above.
