From Curbed Marketplace: Play Pinball in This Clubby L.A. Pleasure Palace Asking $26M

Here now, From Curbed Marketplace, highlighting an intriguing real estate listing from the many thousands of properties found in the Curbed Marketplace. Browsing the Marketplace and spot a property worthy of being featured? Send it to the tipline.

Now really, is a mansion even a mansion if it doesn't include a basement nightclub? Because, honestly, regular hoity-toity amenities like libraries, grand foyers, and infinity pools are kind of dime a dozen these days, particularly in the cash-infused enclaves of Los Angeles like Holmby Hills, where this $26M listing sits. Boasting three elevators, a lovely library, lavish bedrooms—one of which looks just like the haunted room in Jane Eyre—pinball machines, not one, but two indoor lap pools, and a whole wing that seems devoted to partying—neon lighting, dancefloors, bars—this manse is one Zamboni away from being well and truly over the top. So what's the 27,816-square-foot palace missing? Contemporary decor, for one; it looks like the place hasn't seen much in the way of modern furnishings since it was built in 1993. Perhaps a giant glittering apple would do the trick. Anyway, see it all above.
