House of the Day: Aspen's Little Red Ski Haus Listed with Not So Little Price

Have a nomination for a jaw-dropping listing that would make a mighty fine House of the Day? Get thee to the tipline and send us your suggestions. We'd love to see what you've got.

Location: Aspen, Colo.
Price: $5,500,000
The Skinny: This 1888 Victorian mansion in the heart of downtown Aspen has, like a few of its neighbors, recently been serving as a charming bed and breakfast. Currently known as the Little Red Ski Haus, the B&B is now being sold as a possible single-family home, with an asking price of $5.5M. The ten-bedroom house was renovated in 2002, but as an inn, so the kitchen is an odd combination of homey and commercial, but the 6,700-square-foot manse looks to be an easy conversion back to single-family use. With sizable historic homes in downtown Aspen in short supply, the price shouldn't be much of an issue either.
