Last year, a proposal for yet another sorry Versailles knock-off—this time in the suburbs of DC—hit the drawing board and then, of course, stalled. Well, the project's back on track, and contractors have their eye on the land occupied by a home once owned by Ted Kennedy. The $10M McLean, Va., abode with Potomac views may be razed to accommodate the 25,000-square-foot behemoth, which will cost $45M to build. [Curbed DC; previously]
