Office Spaces: Google, Being Google, Puts Orange Grove in its New Office Feb 7th 2013, 21:15 Photo via Freshome The higher-ups at Google seem to be quite dedicated to injecting the company's offices with magnificent, crazy, and utterly weird decor, what with bathtub sofas, secret Clue-style rooms, and teeny-tiny upside-down dioramas. Heck, even the company's data centers are mystifying. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that Google's brand-new offices in Tel Aviv, Israel, feature more of that same funhouse sensibility. The 85,000-square foot space, crafted by Setter Architects and Studio Yaron Tal, boasts a slide, surfboards, a faux Tuscan street, chairs on the ceiling and the wall, and lots of fake orange trees. Why? Well, lots of interesting "communication landscapes" may encourage staffers to collaborate more, but, really, does it matter? Photos below.
