Turns out Hard Rock Cafe founder Peter Morton most likely cannot, in fact, tear down his recent Beverly Hills purchase, and not just because it was the marital home of Elvis Presley. The estate was designed by midcentury architecture great Rex Lotery, which, according to a fairly recent Bev Hills preservation ordinance, dubs the home worthy of protection. Curbed LA has more.
