Recently spotlighted in Elle Decor is the Manhattan home of exotica-obsessed textile designer John Robshaw. Turns out the abode of John "I-Caught-the-Asia-Bug" Robshaw (seriously, that's how he's identified on his website) is exactly what one would expect: a veritable festoon of pattern, earth tones, and worldly, hand-hewn furnishings. Actually, the place is pretty much a Robshaw showroom—recognize that duvet? How about that spotted throw pillow? The fitted sheets? Yep, it's all of his own design. The decor is predictable, sure, but can't we all just take comfort in the fact that an all-Robshaw house is much lovelier (read: less torture chamber-like) than the all-Restoration Hardware home in Houston? Plus, the place is stuffed with some rather stunning global antiques like a Syrian dining table, Cambodian silk window shades, and an Indian chandelier. See it all above.
