On the Market: Blue Man to Sell Montauk Plot, Weak Rendering Included Feb 15th 2013, 17:15 Matt Goldman, one of the founders of the wildly successful anonymous percussionist troupe Blue Man Group, has collaborated with his NYC-based investor neighbor to sell a large, three-acre waterfront parcel on the Montauk, N.Y. beachfront. Goldman, who also owns at least one of the historic, John Jacob Astor-built townhouses on NYC's Colonnade Row, is contributing half of the undeveloped plot, which sits just a few doors down from the sometimes-beloved, usually slighted Gurney's Inn, which made a recent ignominious appearance on a show called Hotel Impossible. Goldman and his neighbor commissioned a "thoughtful plan ... for a spectacular, up to 10,000 sq. ft. home overlooking a 60-foot oceanside pool and meandering private path to the magnificent beachfront."
